Pray for the Khang People

Today we pray for the Khang people of Vietnam. The Khang are an unreached people group living in the northern rural area of the country.

Isaiah 2:5 says “House of Jacob, come let’s walk in the Lord’s light.” Our Father, may we see many Khang people walk in Your light. May they understand that Jesus is the “light of the world,” begin to follow Him, and “never walk in the darkness but have the light of life” (John 8:12).

Pray for laborers to bring the light of Jesus to the Khang in a challenging and difficult place.

Pray for the Pa Then People

Pray that the Pa Then christians will have a passion and zeal to share their faith with their families and friends. Ask God to soften the hearts of their families and friends and to bring them to Himself.

All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name. I pray the Pa Then  will come and see what God has done. How awesome are Your works on their behalf. You rule forever by Your power and Your eyes watch over the Pa Then." (Psalm 66: 4-7)

Pray for the Khmer Krom

Father, Today we pray for the Khmer Krom People of Vietnam.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few, therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38. We pray for laborers to go and reach the Khmer Krom people. We pray for laborers to be raised up from the Khmer Krom people.

Making Disciples

Matthew 28:18-20 says "Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Pray for mature and bold disciples to be raised up from the harvest in Vietnam. Pray these disciples will then disciples others. Pray for God to continue to draw the Vietnamese people to Himself.

Breaking Down Barriers

Ask God to break down the barriers that are keeping the Vietnamese from coming to Him. Ask Him to create a hunger in their hearts to know the Most High God. "O Lord, the gospel has been veiled to the Vietnamese who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of the Vietnamese, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ. Lord, when You said, "Let light shine out of darkness, "You made Your light shine in the hearts of the Vietnamese and gave them the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ." (2 Corinthians 4:3-6)

True Repentance...

When she heard the Good News, she responded, “Yes, I believe, and want to follow God.” When the two people who shared with her talked about change and repentance, she wanted to take down her family altar that is used to worship the ancestors and other spirits. This is a major cultural shift and a true sign of repentance. The gospel of Jesus Christ transcends all rituals, cultures, and cultural traditions. Pray for this lady and others like her who choose to return to God in a restored relationship through Jesus Christ. Pray for the discipleship process that follows. Pray for their perseverance in the face of ridicule and persecution that comes from family and others. Praise God for changed lives.

"I have never heard that story before"

“I have never heard that story before.”

During this Christmas season please pray for the many Vietnamese who will hear the Good News story for the first time. Pray that God will draw these people to Himself, and that they will repent, believe, and begin a new relationship with the Most High God through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ .  . . students, taxi drivers, restaurant workers, business men and women, farmers, professors, others. Pray that new believers will have opportunity to be followed up, and will be baptized and discipled, and join in fellowship with a church. Pray that those who had never heard before and now believe will go out and tell their friends and neighbors the Good News and spread it far and wide.

One of the Largest Unreached People Groups in Southeast Asia

The Viet-Kinh are the majority people group in Vietnam. They are one of the largest unreached people groups in southeast Asia. Ask God to call out national church planters who have a burden for evangelizing, discipling and planting churches among the peoples of Vietnam. Pray that there will soon be a church in every district, commune and village of Vietnam.

"I pray the Vietnamese will be full of the knowledge of You, Lord, as the waters cover the sea Let Your kingdom come to the Vietnamese people. Let Your will be done in the hearts of the Vietnamese people.

Pray for the Phu La People

Ask God to send out laborers among the Phu La so that all the Phu La will have an opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

"O God. open a door for the message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ to the Phu La. I have opened my eyes and looked at the fields. They are ripe for harvest. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Lord of the harvest, send out workers into Your harvest field." (Colossians 4: 3; John 4: 35; Matthew 9: 37-38)
